FOOD LICENSE OR FSSAI REGISTRATION

It is mandatory for the following individuals or entities to obtain FSSAI Registration or License:

  1. Hotels.

  2. Restaurants.

  3. All types of Food Manufacturer.

  4. Food Packaging unit.

  5. Food Storage unit.

  6. Wholesale food business operators.

  7. Food Traders.

  8. Online Food Business Operator.

  9. Caters.

  10. Raw food material suppliers.

  11. Exporter and Importer of food products.

  12. Food products Distributors.

  13. Food Product retailers.

(A) Documents required or checklist for obtaining

Basic Food License Registration

  1. Pan Card of Food Business Operator/Proprietor/Partner/Director, as the case may be; 

  2. ID Proof of Food Business Operator/Proprietor/Partner/Director, as the case may be;

  3. Form B – completed and signed;

  4. Rental Agreement or Ownership Documents of the premises;

  5. Latest Utility Bill;

  6. Passport Size Photo of Operator/Proprietor/Partner/Director, as the case may;

  7. Business Registration Certificate/Certificate of Incorporation;

  8. Partnership Deed/LLP Agreement as the case may be;

  9. List of food products to be dealt with;

  10. Food safety management system plan

(B) Documents required or checklist for obtaining

State Food License

  1. Plan of the processing unit showing the dimensions and operation-wise area allocation;

  2. Form B duly completed and signed;

  3. List of Directors/ Partners/ Proprietor with address, contact details, and ID proof;

  4. Name and list of equipment and machinery used with the number and installed capacity;

  5. List of food category to be manufactured;

  6. Power of Attorney;

  7. The analysis report of water to be used in the process to confirm the portability;

  8. Rent Agreement or ownership Documents;

  9. Latest Utility Bill;

  10. Partnership deed/LLP Agreement/affidavit of the proprietor;

  11. NOC and copy of License from the manufacturer;

  12. Food safety management system plan or certificate.

(C) Documents required or checklist for obtaining

Central Food License

  1. Plan of the processing unit showing the dimensions and operation-wise area allocation;

  2. Form B duly completed and signed;

  3. List of Directors/ Partners/ Proprietor with address, contact details, and ID proof;

  4.  Name and list of equipment and machinery used with the number and installed capacity;

  5. List of food category to be manufactured;

  6. Power of Attorney;

  7. The analysis report of water to be used in the process to confirm the portability;

  8. Source of raw material for milk, meat etc;

  9. Ministry of Commerce Certificate for 100% EOU;

  10. IE code issued by DGFT;

  11. Form IX;

  12. Rent Agreement or Ownership Documents;

  13. Partnership deed/ LLP Agreement affidavit of the proprietor;

  14. NOC and copy of License from the manufacturer;

  15. Food safety management system plan or certificate;

  16. NOC from the municipality or local body;

  17. Supporting document for proof of turnover and transportation;

  18. Declaration form.
